Free 30-minute audit call

Find out what to build first.

Show me your current setup — the spreadsheets, the aging app, the manual workflow that's eating your week. I'll tell you what I'd build first, what it would cost, and whether it's worth doing at all. You keep the one-page plan whether or not we work together.

No sales pitch — owner-operated, you talk to the developer. 30 minutes. One page. Yours to keep.

What the audit covers
  • Where time is leaking in your current workflow
  • What to build first for the biggest payoff
  • Honest ballpark of cost and timeline
  • Whether custom software even makes sense yet
  • One-page plan you can act on with or without us

What you'll walk away with

Thirty minutes, three answers, one page.

What to build first

The single workflow or screen where custom software pays back fastest. Not a wish list — the one thing worth doing first.

Honest cost and timeline

A real range — $250 to $500 a month plus a build window measured in weeks, not quarters. No "it depends" runarounds.

Whether you should bother

If spreadsheets and existing tools are already doing the job, I'll say so. The goal is the right call for your business, not a sale.

Who this is for

Small businesses where someone is doing too much by hand.

Spreadsheets are running the business

Inventory, orders, customers, or scheduling lives in a workbook that only one person fully understands. The mistakes are getting expensive.

An aging app nobody can maintain

Access database from 2008. Custom app from 2014. WordPress site held together with abandoned plugins. The developer who built it isn't around.

A repetitive workflow eating real time

Re-keying the same data between systems. Copy-pasting into emails. A task that should be ten seconds takes ten minutes — and you do it twenty times a day.

SaaS pricing climbing past what it's worth

Per-seat fees scaling faster than the value. A custom-built version on a flat monthly might cost less and fit better. Or it might not — that's what the audit is for.

Common questions

What people ask before they book.

Yes. Thirty minutes on the phone or a video call, no charge and no obligation. You walk away with a one-page plan whether or not we end up working together. The reason it works for me is simple: the conversations that go well usually become long-term clients, and the ones that don't still leave the business owner with something useful.

Me. Mike Kerchenski — the developer who builds and supports every Hurrah.dev project. No sales rep, no account manager, no junior "discovery" call. If we end up working together, the person on the audit call is the person who'll write your code and pick up the phone when something breaks.

Whatever exists. Screenshots of the spreadsheet or app, a rough description of the workflow, a sense of how many people use it and how often. You don't need a spec or a budget — if you had those, you wouldn't need the audit. Even a 5-minute screen share of how a task gets done today is plenty.

I'll tell you. The audit isn't a sales call disguised as a free consultation. If your problem is better solved by an off-the-shelf tool, a part-time admin hire, or a different specialist, the one-page plan will say so. Honest mismatch beats wasted months on both sides.

$250 to $500 a month for hosting, support, and ongoing development on a custom app. Initial build work is scoped and quoted separately if it's larger than what fits into the subscription. Most clients in the $500K to $5M revenue range land in the middle of that range.

Weeks, not months. The audit itself fits inside a normal business week. From there, the typical first-build window is 4 to 8 weeks before something is in your hands. AI tooling has collapsed the timeline for the kind of custom work I do; I'll be specific about your situation on the call.
